This project consisted of installation of 4,580 lineal feet of ductile iron water main within the town of Jackson, Wyoming. Included in this project was the installation of numerous water main fittings including 4”, 6”, 8”, and 12” gate valves and bends. The replacement project consisted of removal of 6,100 square yards of asphalt roadway using an asphalt grinder to pulverize asphalt into a reusable material that was used as new road base for the project. Westwood Curtis Construction was able to save a substantial amount of money for the owner by minimizing the amount of aggregate that would have otherwise been purchased as well as eliminating completely the disposal of asphalt. The project was completed ahead of schedule which included grading of the recycled asphalt as road base, placement of 1,150 tons of asphalt pavement and new sidewalks.
